About Amber

I am originally from the rural Eastern Shore of Maryland. After college in Pennsylvania, I had an enjoyable year working at a pizza joint in Delaware before I decided to pursue the wonders of the cosmos. I moved to Clemson, South Carolina to receive my Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and I am now a lecturer at Clemson University. I enjoy sharing astronomy with my local community especially through Clemson's planetarium and 11-inch telescopes. My hobbies include wandering through interactive museums when I visit new cities, reading a variety of interesting books, and I recently joined a women's roller derby team.
