My Q&A with the Washington Post's Valerie Strauss about how someone becomes an astronomer and what you see when you point your telescope up to the night sky.

I was so honored this summer to be nominated as a SHEroe and appeared in a digital campaign highlighting the achievements of powerful women in the Upstate region of South Carolina.  I discuss my love of talking about science with my students and how I was preparing for the Eclipse Over Clemson event.

The official book of the Eclipse Over Clemson event is now available for sale.  The book features over 100 color photographs and numerous chapters written by eclipse experts.  My chapter chronicles the planning of an event that attracts 50,000 people to a university campus and the many outreach activities I was involved in leading up to the eclipse.
